DAVE MATTHEWS IMPERSONATING OZZY ON SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE

Monday, November 23rd, 2009 at 11:30am by Vince Neilstein

Andy Samberg can’t single-handedly salvage more than a decade of suckitude at Saturday Night Live, but this past weekend’s skit “The Mellow Show” is pretty fuckin’ funny and of particular interest to metal fans. The skit pokes fun at the light rock stylings of Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz and Dave Matthews, and Mr. Matthews himself makes a cameo appearance as Ozzy Osbourne. Thanks to our brostophers at Metal Insider for picking this one up.

    Hemp necklace.

Dave Mathews gets Ozzy Osbourne pretty dead on. Otherwise, that skit was painful to watch. SNL has been horrible and Andy Samberg isn’t funny (though I do like a couple of the Lonely Island music videos).

  3. West Virginia says:

dave matthews did a good job acting in a house episode as well

  4. Anthony says:

SNL over the last 2-3 years hasn’t been that bad. I never watched it in the “glory” years, but it’s still a hell of a lot better than when Jimmy Fallon was on it.

i’m not really a fan of dave matthews, but it’s his fan base that i fuckin hate. a bunch of mini-van driving dildos

    Cargo shorts. Ultimate frisbee.

  9. Sammy says:

Dave Matthews was very funny. Andy Samberg is sometimes marginally funny. However, during the first DMB song I dozed off and missed the rest of the show. Boring music has that effect on me.

  10. Frank says:

what song were they using to parody in the ozzy sketch
