INTERNET PEOPLE ARE MEANIES!

Monday, November 23rd, 2009 at 1:30pm by

Contrary to the comments of dozens of YouTube haters (samples: “dude your realy suck . try when you have a man voice,” “instead of having your mom buy you metal shirts. have her get you braces.”), I think this kid rules. Gee, thanks Internet numbnuts for pointing out the obvious fact that his voice hasn’t dropped yet — as if he doesn’t know! It takes balls to put yourself out there like this kid did, full-well knowing you ain’t the shit; a helluva a lot more balls than it takes to sit behind a keyword and call a kid a douche for trying. All things considered, this cover isn’t bad — he’s got the pitch right, he’s listening to the right music, and some day he’ll be a great metal frontman.

    Slow day at the mansion

    • Jake

lol im the one that sent this in to them, SLOW DAY MY BUNGHOLE, THIS RULES

  • Uglymicrowave

honestly i agree with u vince…this kid is awesome for doing this…wish he was my little brother….he can’t be more than 12 or 13 most kids at this age are still pulling there pud to wrestling and ninja turtles

  • Ziltoid

No, he’s listening to the wrong music.

Lamb of God = fail. Now, if he was attempting to cover Demilich, I’d have respect for him. Also, it would be hysterical to hear a high-pitched kid try to pull off Demilich vocals.

    • jason

The kid is so young though…I can’t really fault him for listening to entry level metal like LOG.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jason-Crispen/100000169530540 Jason Crispen

the whole “fail” shit’s gone far enough. everyone should quit saying it.

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Mathew-James-Saunders/1153389571 Mathew James Saunders

Agreed. At least he’s into good music and I’m sure he’s well on his way to listening to Demilich, but find a kid his age that’s into something that brutal lol

        • Matthew Grant Anson

          “Fail” is fucking stupid.

          • Lybrium

agreed 100% It’s just another example of the exaggerative attitude of most young people today.

            and nice avatar Matthew.

        • http://www.last.fm/user/M60Patton Patton

Most kids his age are into whatever’s on MTV, at least he’s moving into the right direction. With that said, I want him to cover Hate Eternal next :]

          • poopsmcgee

            ‘fail’ is an epic fail

      • stu1

Ziltoid has gone far enough, and should quit

        • Michiel

          What happened to Revrant? :(

    • http://www.last.fm/user/groverXIII groverXIII

Demilich’s vocals are a fucking joke.

      • msv81

…as are 85%-90% of the supposed “artists” who ziltoid considers to be worthy of his praise.

    • Joe Jackson

Really fight over the word fail, also the kid is a fucktard and so is VN. If you don’t want bad, mean, nasty, moronic, or what have you comments than you don’t deserve the good ones. Damn people that is the Internet is a bunch off assholes, dumb, nice, smart, cool, lazy ass people. STFU & grow up or GTFO of the Internet.

  • http://Www.facebook.com/danceswithsoda Mark Gavin

I liked this kid the first time I saw him, but I couldn’t help but laugh. It was the ‘good for you, kid’ sort of laugh though.

  • Dan

Why don’t you just marry him Vince.

  • PatrickSTL

Kudos to this kid for doing this. We should applaud young kids listening to good music.
He seems like a nice kid, people are assholes.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Trip-Cahouet/706361037 Trip Cahouet

I give this kid more credit than the kid you posted who did the guitar/vocals/dance cover of Stick Stickly. It is a little funny how he is depending on the lyrics in front of him, but I don’t sing, so I wouldn’t know how to do it right.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Tim-Shanks/1273561133 Tim Shanks

The kids got decent growls for being so young, thats awesome, i want him in my band in a few years.

  • meow

Further proof that Lamb of God is babys first metals musics and that even a kid can cover it and sound better.

    • msv81

Um, is English your first language? If so, that’s just……sad.

No, really, did you even try to make sense there or were you just throwing out words that came to mind?

      • http://www.last.fm/user/groverXIII groverXIII

I think he’s trying to imitate Toki/Skwisgaar from Metalocalypse… although I could be wrong. That would be pretty funny if he was serious.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Zach-Dolan/100000151486558 Zach Dolan

Not bad for a kid, Randy has some hard vocals to cover.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jason-Lekberg/779008102 Jason Lekberg

From all of us at Epic Records, thank you young sir, keep it up.

  • timmah

I don’t even know this kid and I’m proud of him. He should keep at it. Get some training, spend a few years in the basement practicing, and he’ll blow all our heads off with what he can do.

  • DecrystallizingReason

Keep practicing kid, through middle school and high school I just sang along with my favorite metal bands and imitated the vocals til it started sounding right, that’s how I learned the technique. Keep it up, with a few years’ practice I have no doubt you’ll be a badass frontman.

  • DecrystallizingReason

Oh, and why the hell would anyone bash the kid for this? This is the kind of thing that keeps metal alive through the generations.

  • SourDeez

I have a friend who started listening to death metal and attempting vocals at age 13. He sounded pretty much just like this kid. Now, at age 21, he can do that Pig Destroyer shit where you can hear him with no mic over loud-as-shit guitars and drums. He can also do just about every type of extreme vocals, and he’s been in a few succesful bands (by death metal standards). You gotta start young. If you can growl like this kid when you’re 12, you might just be Frank Mullen when you’re 20. Keep it up, little man, keep it up.

  • Nate L.

rofl this kid sux… in what way/shape/form is he good or promising at all?

  • http://myspace.com/killtheenemyva punch-drunk-blood

when i was this kids age i was probley listening to match box twenty or some such shit. i wish i was half as cool as him

  • Superhans

    rearrange these words…
kettle the pot black called the
    arent internet people meanies haha

  • loganarchy

someone should show that kid all these comments haha

  • South FL Infidel

I think the kid is cool and would like to buy him a beer (root beer, of course, perhaps “Dad’s”). More power to ya kid. I’m still kind of embarassed over the time I got drunk and sang karaoke (Otis Redding, woot!). I damn sure don’t have the sack to go on freaking youtube with it. This kid is a-ok in my book.

  • Lybrium

awww, Vince is such a nice guy!

Thumbs up for honesty and effort kid!

  • Malacoda

Props for trying. I wonder how old he is.

  • http://www.myspace.com/mamagoose2008 La Chupacabra

    MAJOR PROPS TO THIS KID!

It warms my heart seeing youth listening to good music and pursuing it!

I hope that when I have kids, they will pursue the arts such as this boy has done!

  • Sin and Death

He’s a dead ringer for Randy Blythe.

  • myke

give this kid another 2 or year 3 and his pitch control will be great his young but the more he practices he will get better. most people cant do it for reason i can do it. but good for him. i had my lil guy singing Staring Through The Eyes Of The Dead great for a 2nd and half year old huh???

  • john

i wrote the comment about the braces. dont regret it. i tried to find it on his videos. the kid must have deleted it.

    • Matthew Grant Anson

Way to promote the stereotype that metalheads are jackasses, piece of shit.

  • http://reaper-x.deviantart.com/ Reaper-X

I think he’s got potential if this is what he wants to do.

He sounds like he’s trying not to be too loud though, which is what I think throws him off.

He would be excellent if he just belted out with it and learned to go with his gut. At his age, his voice will sort of grow into it over time.

  • http://myspace.com/bizarrodrake Marc

Reminds me of when I was a kid singing to Far Beyond Driven. Too bad we didn’t have webcams and youtube back then.

  • DREADxPIRATE

He’s going to end up like the kid in the Black Veil Brides video (lawl)

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Will-Sutphin/29706363 Will Sutphin

i love this kid! i give him the horns! rock on
