they started off as pretty run-of-the-mill, but slightly better than average hardcore band. Their older material (particularly the demo) reminded me of the Cro Mags. As they’ve progressed they’ve gotten more and more…progressive, I guess I’d call it…with their songwriting and incorporation of different styles into their sound. Their vocals are pretty intense, lyrics better than average, and they aren’t a retarded XBREAKDOWNX type band so if you’re into the Cro Mags and more crossover-ish old school NYHC bands I’d recommend their earlier discography or if you want more mid-paced “progressive hardcore” (if there it could even be called that), than check em out. In terms of hardcore bands that are going against the mold and doing something different and fairly unique, I like Defeater a lot more currently. Their full length and new EP are both pretty awesome (both concept albums too, not often you see a hxc band do a concept album, and a pretty damn well done one at that).

Looks like a crappy indie rock or art punk album cover, but knowing Suarez I shouldn’t expect any different. Never heard this band before, are they any good?
