THIS SHOULD MAKE ANSO HAPPY

I was never really a Dokken fan, but I know my man Anso is; so I think he’d be pretty stoked to see the below video of George Lynch joining Dokken on-stage for the song “In My Dreams.” Which, sadly, is not “Dream Warriors” from A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors, which just might be my personal favorite Nightmare flick, and had a really, really awesome video.

And here’s that bitchin’ “Dream Warriors” video I was talking about:

    Don, one word: salad.

In the mid 80s and talking about the hair metal boom, Dokken WAS THE BAND.

I was at the show and Don’s voice is shot. He sang everything in a lower key and even then, he sounded like shit. That said, the band were on fire! Jon Levin does a wonderful job of playing Lynch’s stuff and he clearly deserves more attention for his playing. Sean McNabb (ex-Great White, Quiet Riot) did a fine job on the bass and backing vocals and Mick Brown was on fire behind the drum kit.

When Lynch came out for the last song, Don looked so happy to have him up there again. I just hope they don’t reunite full time again because it won’t end well.
