There’s no denying that Austrian Death Machine are entertaining. There’s those who claim the shtick gets old after a while, and I’m sure it probably does… but this shit is still hilarious to me! This song — which comes from Austrian Death Machine’s latest, Double Brutal — is predictably funny, and the band did a great job on the video with the help of director David Brodsky. Comments Tim Lambesis:

“Arnold is proof that you can be brutal and still have fun. Metalheads can still laugh at a party right? The theme for this video can go a few different ways. I think that no matter what drastic measures Ahhnold takes, he somehow only creates more fun for all. Other people may think there is an underlying story as a Terminator love story between Ahhnold and T-One-Million. However you interpret the video is fine with me, but if you sing along loud enough Ahhnold just might show up at your house too!”

What I really wanna know about is this: what’s the deal with that guitar they took in the hot tub and into the pool? Was it just a prop they bought at a store? A shitty, old banged up instrument? How many takes did they need to get that underwater solo? Dude must’ve been completely winded afterwards.

          b) I was genuinely curious, because they get a good amount of promotion here and other places, so I wasn’t sure if people were into their shit, or if it was just a lot of money being poured onto them. And they’re a new band, correct? So it’s weird that people would already be so aware of them.

          and @ jason, just because something isn’t to be taken seriously, and for fun, that means it’s listenable? If I want humour in music, I’ll go to – Zappa, Primus, and Tenacious D among others – originality still matters. This to me is just rehashed thrash-core with boring vocals. Yes, lyrics are funny, but to create and ENTIRE BAND based on an actor? Just strange more than funny.

      WTF does being Christian have anything to do with them sucking? Because, I tend to agree that As I Lay Dying is a shit band….I do however really enjoy ADM. I’m also not defending Christianity, I do not subscribe to organized religion. Just curious.

      See them live if you can. The gimmick gets a little old after about 4 songs, but at the same time, the delivery is truly awesome. Only downfall of their live show is all the same dumbass hardcore dancers who come out for AILD come out for these guys.

        I’ve liked Arnocorps since the beginning. I was crying foul when Lambesis first announced this project, and I know I wasn’t the only one. Arnocorps has a pretty respectable fan base.

    I saw these guys live a couple weeks back with Children of Bodom, and they killed it! They absolutely sound like they do on the album, dress up just the way they did in the video, have some dude in a predator mask running around, tossing cookies and chicken McNuggets into the crowd, with just a little between song banter to dick around and set up the next brutal song. The gus tore it apart and we’re just as good as Bodom.

    Austrian Death Machine is like a shitty inside joke that I don’t get. Apparently a large group of people think said joke is funny, but I guess it’s over my head, because it never did anything for me. That being said, the quality of this song is better than the other ADM stuff I heard (from the first album). I guess they upped the production and stuff…I wish they would devote more time, effort, money, resources, etc. to making quality serious music (like a good As I Lay Dying record?)…*sigh* I like a good joke as much as the next guy, but devoting a whole band to a single gimmick (and even creating a SECOND album of the same joke!) is a little too much for me..

    When I saw these guys live, they had us come up on stage and do 2o push ups, then stagedive back into the audience. Their lead guitarist put his foot on one of the guys and did is solo! Funest show ever

    Re: Arnie-themed metal bands, anyone heard Schwarzenator? Thomas Lang on drums and one of the “new guys” from Korn on guitar… kinda Meshuggah/Sikth/FNM sound. IMHO a lot better than ADM or Arnocorps

Tim is joking around with his friends and if you think that you band is better than a joke then congradulation send it in to a record label if your not in a band then just shut up they are all in bands and someone had to actually like this otherwise they wouldnt be on metal blade yes tim is on it but they wouldnt be signed if no one liked it, and you all took the time to watch this video so you all obviously dont have lives either

    Other than that – great for shits and giggles but nothing to rave about. Quality production work – obviously if you’re connected with AILD and Metal Blade. The riffs are fun but once again nothing impressive.

    I love this band and everything but, why does arnold sound different in the second album compared to the first? He sounded more real in Total Brutal.
