On pulling thrash vocals out of your ass – as far as I’m concerned you can pull nearly any type of metal vocals out of your ass if you pre-fuck up your throat enough. I’m starting a band, and though I’m quite sure I won’t manage playing guitar and singing at the same time in the long run, I discovered that the best growls and screams come out after a cold beer or a shot of cold vodka.

I’ve been rocking this on my iPod ever since Corey’s review. They may be retro and derivative, but somehow these guys pull it off in a way that makes them seem fresh and original. I know that’s a complete oxymoron, but for some strange reason it’s true (to my ears).
