yeaa… I am a fan of Chris, but he does cup the mic from time to time and come off flat here and there. He’ll get a lot better though, idk if you guys have ever sang in front of a metal band (I used to, rather poorly!), but it can be hard as all hell to hear yourself, even with an ear piece in. So i forgive him for being a lil flat here and there. As for Bulb and the rest of the crew, they kick ass as always!

He’s actually their 3rd singer… Their last singer, Casey, was untouchable. Yeah, i saw this video over on sevenstring.org when someone posted it there – honestly, I know they’re good guitar players but the shit is just boring. Good musicians don’t always make good music, this is a fact. However what Bulb did with Tosin on the AAL album is fucking incredible. Other than that, I stand by my “meh” – and Periphery’s singer does in fact, blow.

For those who might NOT have known, this singer is their second. He’s fair in studio, but obviously can’t pull it off live. Their first guy was better, but didn’t like to tour, so now he’s producing their record. However, the band isn’t really vocally focused anyway, so it doesn’t matter…

Periphery is basically a stepping stone for Bulb (guitarist with the Carvin – main songwriter), to break into the music scene, and break in he has. His solo stuff (with several different projects) is fucking amazing, anyone that needs proof can go check out Animals as Leaders, as he helped Tosin out with a fair amont of the album.

tl;dr – The band isn’t all that great, but seeing them is worth it to see someone who will probably go on to as influential as Townsend…

People are really pretentious. This band seems very competent. I wouldn’t listen to them but no reason to say that they suck.
