    Honestly I’d rather see the Megadeth, Slayer, Testament tour that’s going on right now than Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax and Metallica. I never understood the big deal about a big four tour. I’ve never really cared to see metallica, and having them on tour just means everybody has to bow to their rules and kiss their asses.

      not trying to sound like a swetaer [fanboy] but if mastodon recalls me correctly, metallica are much more down to earth then Mustaine or Kerry King. The only shitstorm that may occur is Mustaine’s fucking ego getting in the way of his logic

        Yep. I know bands who’ve toured with Metallica and Megadeth; Metallica are way more down to earth, take better care of their openers, etc. Megadeth, or mainly Mustaine is an intolerable asshole, who when he IS around, makes life miserable.

    Anthrax I never got in to, and Snaretallica is just bleh.

      Not sure I still care about ‘em,never cared about Anthrax.There probably will be much mindfuck over the way the bill is organized,since from what I know about Sonisphere,they really are cashing in on the most commercial bands of the lot,and I know for sure that they won’t bother with Mustaine’s idea of rotating every night.So the ‘Deth will definitely have to open for Metallica.

      That new Slayer/Testament/Megadave tour sounds considerably less meh to my ears.At least those three bands are still real fucking thrash metal and they’re not playing a festival that’s been set up for mall kids in the first place.

    I can’t see anything negative in this news, surprised others can and it will surely make its way to the States in time. I think the four of them will play the Download festival in the UK as Sonisphere here has already announced the headliners. The Big Four at Donnington – I never thought I’d see that.

      No chance of it at Download this year – Slayer and Anthrax are playing the UK Sonishphere as exclusives.
      Sonisphere have given away lots of tickets to the Poland show with weekend tickets for the UK festival. I repeat, they gave away tickets to a show that features all of the big four.

        Sorry my mistake – but I’d still be surprised if they didn’t come to the UK. It’s odd about the Polish ticket offer but there’s still a third headliner to be announced for the UK Sonisphere so there’s a little hope.

          I’m going to come across as a pedantic dick here, but who cares? Sonisphere’s third headliner is Alice Cooper – he’s playing the second stage on the Friday, which is all Rocky Horror themed. There won’t be any main stage bands on the Friday.

    Like I said months a go the real Big Four would be Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Testament, now they can also add Exodus, regarding the bitching, the metallica dudes are really down to earth,, they gave a good treatment to VolBeat and thats a band that not everybody knows however fuckin rules so ya know they just need to keep their EGOS out of the way and play like they havent done in in almost 30 years!!

    does anyone else think that anthrax are a bit… meh? im a massive metallica fan, and would pay to see slayer i suppose. megadeth are a serious meh also, i can appreciate their music but i wont be responsible for a single penny that dave shitstaine earns. and anthrax bore me. they certainly dont have the muscle of the other 3 for me. i doubt id pay money for this unless it was relativly cheap considering metallica are playing.

    Slayer and Anthrax are both confirmed for Sonisphere’s biggest show, the 3-day festival in Knebworth, UK. Only two of the headline slots are filled (Rammstein and IRON FUCKING MAIDEN!!!) so I’m hoping Metallica fill out the third slot with Megadeth playing too.

    Still hittin’ up Poland one way or the other though!

    Man….Sometimes I was I lived over there if only for the concerts. No way I would fly all the way over some damn shows though, and I am glad I’m not the only one that really got into Anthrax, I like Scott Ian he seems really cool, but thats about it. Its because of them that we had the whole “rap-rock” crap. I wonder if Kerry and Dave will fist fight someday, as much as I hate dave mustaine I think he would kick his ass. He has been kick boxing for a long, long, time. Hey I said something nice about Mustaine! Thats a first.EatMyPoo!
