I Get Wet sounds like The Dictators crossed with Slade in a 100 track studio and stripped to the core, fed back with lyrics that sound like a Motivational speech. I think a big reason why so many people dislike AWK is because his message is so obvious, it tends to come off as meaningless and dumb. Anybody who thinks this couldn't be more confused. There's an extremely important message on I Get Wet. It's without a doubt the most philosophical record I've ever heard. It's so deep, that there's nothing deep about it. It's a message that's right infront of us. Partying isn't getting wasted and acting like a douche. Partying simply means celebrating life, which is exactly what I Get Wet is about. I cannot for the life of me figure out why so many people compare AWK (mainly I get wet) to something from the 80′s.
