I was at the Vancouver show Dez mentioned and it was most definitely off the hook. I’m surprised he didn’t mention the security guard he had thrown out of the venue that night… Halfway through the song ‘Fate Stepped In’ Dez saw one the security guards drop a younger fan directly on his head (I assume on purpose) so he had the band stop the song, threw the security guard out of the venue and let the kid chill out on stage with the band until he recovered. Dez seems like a cool guy who loves getting close to his fans; he was encouraging people to come up on stage all night! Great fucking show. My only complaint is that I wish they played more material from The Last Kind Words and Pray For Villains…

Saw this tour in Seattle right before that Vancouver show he talks about. Though I’m not a huge fan of the albums, their live act is is fucking off the hook. They know how to stir up a crowd into a frenzy, and Fafara is a magnetic frontman. And I was prepared to be let down after watching the first 3 bands on that bill –they all turned in explosive performances.
