SITE REFRESHING PROBLEM

Friday, February 5th, 2010 at 11:15am by

We are aware that our site often immediately refreshes after it finishes loading (thanks to all of you who let us know). We are also aware that we are code nincompoops and have no idea what is causing this problem.

If any of you Suckalos out there are code monkeys who wouldn’t mind having a gander at our code to figure out what’s causing this problem, kindly email vince [at] metalsucks [dot] net and name your price.

Thanks!

P.S.: If you are experiencing or have experienced this problem, please post your OS and Browser (with versions) in the comments.

I just thought it was my browser because it didnt refresh on my phone or zune. hopefully you get it fixed though.

i always thought it was just because i was logged into facebook. doesn’t seem to do it when i am not.

Yeah this was my assumption too. On a related note, how the fuck do I un-link this site from Facebook? Whenever I log out from here it logs me out of Facebook too, it’s bloody annoying.

if you log out of your facebook and then close your browser and go back to ms.net it shouldn’t come up as your facebook. might have to delete cookies too, not sure.

        • Facebook User

I cant even log off of here. The one time it did ask for my pass and everything, I typed in exactly what it was but logged into facebook instead.

Alright, found out how. Go to facebook then click in the upper right “Account” then click on “Application Settings” then where it says “Shows” scroll to “Authorized”. Scroll down to Metalsucks then click the “X”. Click “Remove” then “Okay”. Come back here and click log out and again. Then sign in with MS credentials.

The code is being crossed up with the ram indicator, which in turn fluxes the capacitor, making the internal gel drive burn out.
Yeah, I don’t know what I’m talking about. But I can find porn on computers. Good enough for me

    • Facebook User

      yup.

  • Cryzthormagnusian

I’m going to say it’s because there are typically multiple Mytouch Fender ads running at the same time while Google Ads trys to cross match random words for ad space. Get new ads.

    • http://thenumberoftheblog.wordpress.com/ groverXIII

I have Adblock active and don’t have the refresh issue, so maybe you’re onto something.

      • Cryzthormagnusian

I’m at work where we have some ad blocking and site blocking software running and I don’t see the problem either.

Second that, this bug is news to me, I’m also running Firefox 3.0.1 with Adblock Plus 1.0.2…. Come to think of it, I never had the problem when I was messing around with Opera either, so maybe just coincidence?

      • Facebook User

Adblock and no refreshs over here, too.

    • Tim-o-tato

      EXACTLY!!!!

  • hi my name is mark

Looking at the source code here… I lol’d when I saw “deathcore” in one of your meta keywords. >_>

  • Facebook User

My guess is that it’s something to do with either the ads or the Facebook app. I just started web development so I can’t be of much help.

    • Facebook User

And I just realized I just logged in with my FB account. Damn. >_< Okay, I'll shut up now.

  • pigchop

The problem lies with the over-abundance of ads.

    • RockOutWithMy…YouKnow

      Gotta make that skrilla son!

      • pigchop

True that. Truth is what it is.

  • Facebook User

LOL i figured you guys were doing it on purpose in order for you guys to have double the amount fo hits on your ads. if you arnt doing that now, you should! lmao you’d get paid more, right? orrr do we have to lick on them…… hehe

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Rik-Powell/286400508 Rik Powell

      Lick the ads? Mmm tasty.
