GET HIGH AND GO SEE AMON AMARTH. WHO KNOWS WHAT WILL COME OF IT?

YESSSSSSS.

Amon Amarth have announced a North American tour for this spring. If you’ve never seen Amon Amarth,well, get off your ass and go.

It was at a Children of Bodom/Amon Amarth show in 2006 that Vince and I first decided to start MetalSucks. We were, it should go without saying, really, really baked. But it’s worth noting that at that particular moment, Bodom hadn’t taken the stage yet. So I’d like to think that the idea was born not just of weed and anticipation for COB, but, rather, from weed and the mighty creative juices of Amon Amarth. Thanks, dudes!

Eluveitie and Holy Grail are acting as support; I don’t know Holy Grail, but Amon Amarth and Eluveitie should really be enough to get you off your lazy ass.

    I saw that Bodom tour as well but it apparently didn’t inspire me to start a website. I don’t think I’ll make it up to Hollywood for this one, sadly.

    The shittiest routing goes to Immortal and Sodom, though.

    No dates in the south? No Virginia? No Georgia? Christ, no Texas? I can understand why they wouldn’t come to NC, but they’re not even within a day’s drive of here at any point. The closest they get is NYC…and there’s no way I’m driving that far to see ANYONE, Amon Amarth included.

    Here’s to hoping they get closer than that some time soon :(

      seconded. Atlanta is the busiest international airport in the US, yet all of these great Euro bands always skip Atlanta on the beginning/end of their tours. With Eluveitie even.

    Last I checked, Detroit was RIGHT FUCKIN’ BETWEEN CHICAGO AND TORONTO!!!!!! And there’s no show on the day between Chicago and Toronto!!!??? I’m guessing the fuckin’ tour routing is gonna have them CROSS INTO CANADA IN FUCKIN’ DETROIT! They could play @ Blondies literally less than a mile from the goddamn Ambassador Bridge between the US and Canada…

    (Pretty sure I had almost this exact comment for another tour that blew right THROUGH Detroit without stopping. I know Detroit gets a bad rap for all the shit going on in the area, but there are a TON of people who would show up for a fuckin’ Amon Amarth show!)

    i was at that nyc CoB/Amon Amarth show. amon amarth is fucking terrible repetitive bullshit that has been done over and over by tons of bands. the best performance that night was GOJIRA. but yeah, how can you like amon amarth, they’re just a bunch of testosterone crazed half naked bearded dudes and so are their fans. i mean, if that;s what you’re into, go right ahead.
