LISTEN TO AXL’S FAVORITE NEW IMMOLATION SONG, “A GLORIOUS EPOCH”

We’ve had the new Immolation album, Majesty and Decay, for a few weeks now, and, geepers, it’s swell, just swell. And as the headline says, track seven, a.k.a. “A Glorious Epoch,” is my favorite on the album.

And Immolation, or someone at their label, obviously thinks it’s a neat song, too, ’cause the band is now streaming it on their MySpace page! Along with the previously released (and MetalSucks-approved) track “The Purge,” this is Immolation fans’ second chance to hear some new music from Majesty, and, well, if they’re not already convinced the album is good, they’re never gonna be.

So stream the track here and then let us… ah, fuck it, you know the deal.

fuck, TWO clicks and some light thinking to get to the myspace page? what kind of amateur blogger are you?

decent track, mind not blown. high on fire was better.

High On Fire is better? First off you can’t compare these two bands together. It’s comparing apples and oranges, turds and urine, and of course assholes and cunts. Now please clean your ears out, and recognize that High On Fire is a bad bad retro Motorhead/Celtic Frost rip off. Sorry but Immolation could crush High on Sleep I mean Fire.

Thanks for the heads up. This has inspired me to make the three-hour trek to Raleigh tomorrow to see them with Nile.

Yeah, I’ve been enjoying this album since I got my hands on it. Pretty solid.

Best Death Metal band outta NY.

I have been listening to the CD since I saw them open for Nile last week and have to say that this is their strongest material to date. A Glorious Epoch is my favorite song on the disc, with that insane riff in the middle just damn near killing anything ever put out by this band or any other. Their drummer adds tremendous quality to their arsenal and destroyed on this album.
