In case you didn’t read Axl’s four-and-a-half out of five horns rave review of Avalanche of Worms, the debut album from Levi/Werstler, we’ll sum it up for you: “Avalanche of Worms is a trippy, freaky, cinematic, vivid narrative that unfolds in multiple dimensions at once.” Axl also said that the album “is really is best enjoyed in a single sitting, as one large piece of work.”

      Praise
      -The guitar tones are spectacular throughout: Original leads, some of the meatiest rhythms have heard
      -This has great, innovative song structure.
      -There is some absolutely top notch shredding here.
      - Its near impossible to find such natural sounding drums on a metal record these days.
      -Reinert has just the right groove.
      -Reinert is king.
      -Some of the production tidbits like at the beginning and ending of the album add depth to the recording.

      Criticism
      -Space should have been left for MASSIVE drum solos because Reinert is king. I want to hear a Levi/Werstler/Reinert record!
      -I would have liked to hear more tracks like Trepanation and Architectural because I know these guys are capable of writing great tunes in a broad breadth of formats.
      -I am forced to listen to this record NOT stoned for another 2 months until I leave Korea.

        A) Reinhert was not the focus of this album…the guitar work was…get over it.

        Emil and Eyal wanted to work with, I’m sure, someone who knew what he was doing, and so they picked one of the best drummers around to help their vision be realized, not to overshadow it.

        B) Who the hell says you have to be stoned to enjoy music?
