    What’s wrong with those shorts? I’d love to see how those critical of James’ off-stage wardrobe dress. Probably Slayer or Meshuggah t-shirts, black jeans and 4 foot wallet chains, Doc marten boots, un-washed long hair, and retarded looking facial peircings.

    And yeah, that pic is so old.

      I have never worn plaid shorts to Armani. But that’s just me. I’m not really into plaid-core.

    i don’t see the big deal. he’s wearing a t-shirt and shorts. so what? there’s an interview on youtube from a European TV show where the interviewers show Hetfield the picture and ask him about it. he laughs and says he was holding the bag for his wife, which i think is a pretty legitimate answer.

    But this “visual history” doesn’t have James Hetfield from the Cliff years! That was when he was the coolest, imo. The whole redneck/biker thing that he started around 1989, I could do without.

    That was when James was the most himself, I think. No image whatsoever.
