HOLY SHIT YOU GUYS, BEST BAND DISCOVERY I’VE MADE IN A WHILE

MS reader Jesse Z.’s description of Sludge as “Gojira played half-time” had me interested, but it took all of 5 seconds of watching the above video he sent to have me completely sold. Now I’m in love, head over heels; I want to know absolutely everything about this band and possess their entire discography.

I did a little recon on their Reverb Nation bio page; they’ve been around since 1996, toured all over Europe, released a bunch of records and even share a member with Samael. I’m surprised I haven’t heard of this guys, but I guess they just haven’t had much distro in the U.S.

Someone bring this band to America. NOW. Dear Sludge, if you ever make it to NYC… the weed’s on me.

      there was also 1 sec of guitar reverb. you know vince is a sucker for that shit
      once you get past the “guitar chug with drum kick part” i dont think they sound too much alike. maybe ill give another listen.maybe

      I agree, Vince definitely pulled a Christopher Columbus, but I just wanted him to post this band. Doesn’t matter what he said, the music is what’s important.

    i had never heard these guys before but they ended up at a local show/party just hanging out in the crowd, i was like “what’s the name of your band?” they were like “Sludge” then i was like “no, whats the name of the band?”

    Sounds pretty cool, but like others I have a hard time hearing the Gojira connection. I think I need another listen.
