DID MOSE GIGANTICUS RIP OFF THE MELVINS?
Buzz Osbourne of the Melvins once said in order to make a perfect song, “you have to… be able to hide what you’re stealing from really well.” Evidently, new Relapse Records signing Mose Giganticus haven’t quite figured that out just yet, because the verse to their song “The Left Path” seems like a seriously obvious rip off of “The Talking Horse,” the lead track off the Melvins’ 2006 LP A Senile Animal. Visit Mose Giganticus’ MySpace page and give that track a listen. Then check out the (quite bizarre) Melvins video below the cut.

Pretty similar, huh? At least some of you think so, from what I’ve read online since the Deciblog debuted “The Left Path” as a mystery track. Oh, and Mose Giganticus’ album is called Gift Horse. Coincidence or the most blatant swipe since George Harrison plagiarized The Chiffons? You decide.
