That picture.. Shouldn’t it be an hourglass and not a clock…? Awesome packages though. Wish I had some damn money.

    • http://thenumberoftheblog.com/ groverXIII

I suppose calling the album Pocketwatch might have sounded kind of silly, even if it would be more accurate to the album art.

    • Blindgreed1

Absolutely! The picture should be an hourglass. Way to prioritize Tony!!!

I think it’s hilarious that a certain member of a certain defunct band that I will not name says that bands of Lamb Of God’s ilk rip off his old band’s style, when said band completley, utterly, and blatantly stole from Exorder. Straight down from stage presence, vocal patterns, and riffs. Hypocricy at it’s finest.

    • Andy Synn

I think you’ll find that “Abducted” / “The Final Chapter” / “A Taste Of Extreme Divinity” are Hypocrisy at their finest.

      Amusement.

      • bearbomb

        I enjoyed this.

+1 for the Exhorder referece. Also +1 for Andy Synn’s comment.

    • Honeynutzz

He’s said he can hear a big influence on bands such as LoG and you would have to be ignorant to say there isn’t any. And if I had any kind of money for every time some moron spills the Pantera ripped off Exhorder bullshit all over the internet I wouldn’t be wasting my time reading the comments on metal blogs.

  • WTF

Not exactly an “unreleased” track. It’s track two from Wrath, dipshits.

    • http://www.metalsucks.net Axl Rosenberg

But the demo is unreleased up ’til now, right, shit for brains?

      • msv81

LOL couldn’t resist, Axl? I’m surprised you and Vince have as much restraint as you do, what, with all the stupidity around here. Thanks for the track. Hopefully someone manages to rip “Hit The Wall” when the Iron Man 2 video game comes out tomorrow.

      • Slaughterhouse

        That was fucking hilarious!

    • joshkid

wow, you are one dumb son a bitch. Dipshit.
      No offense lol.

      • Geekbeater

        too bad this song blows.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Byron-Ward/797615124 Byron Ward

      Smooth…

    • Beth Adams

listen to the way it’s sung. it’s different!

  • joshkid

holy shit. they’ve put together some sick packages. wish I could buy the super deluxe thingy ($1000!!!!!).
    LOG FUCKIN RULES. ‘NUFF SAID.

  • msv81

“Volume 3, containing 18 rare and unreleased songs. Included are Japanese-issue bonus tracks, rehearsal demos and 8 songs recorded prior to Burn The Priest.”

NICE! I could care less about Volumes 1 and 2, those are pretty much worthless for any LOG fan who owns all the albums anyway. But I didn’t realize the band has material from before “Burn The Priest”, wish they sold the third volume on its own but I suppose it’s a nice way for them to make plenty of cash by forcing people to buy 1, 2, and 3 as a package.

    • msv81

God I love the internet. One quick google search and I found those songs, tracks are:

      Burn The Priest Demo:

      1. Leech 02:31
      2. Salivation 02:13
      3. Lame 02:14
      4. Duane 02:25

Burn The Priest U.S. Demo 1997:

      1. Suffering Bastard 01:59
      2. Preaching To The Converted 02:18
      3. Ballad of Kansas City 01:51
      4. Ruiner 01:57
      5. Ode To Centipede 01:36

I’ll still purchase the 3 Volume demo set since it’s remastered, but gonna listen to these tracks now.

      • joshkid

        just found it too. nice.
If you find a rip of “hit the wall”, LET US KNOW.

      • http://www.myspace.com/jay234t Brutal Jay

Why are the songs so short?

        • msv81

Typical of Burn The Priest, a lot of the songs on their self-titled release are short. Only a few of the tracks from the demos are actually ‘unreleased’; “Leech”, “Ballad of Kansas City”, and “Ode To Centipede”, the rest of the stuff from the demos appears on the self-titled record in revised format.

I’m wondering what the “8 songs recorded prior to Burn The Priest” that they’re releasing on Volume 3 are. I’m assuming those three and then perhaps the demo versions? Hmm, quite intriguing. Perhaps the have completely unreleased songs that they never even demoed.

  • AB12

never thought this band would get to the point where their music was selling for $1000

    • TheHangingBrain

The $450 guitar kind of added to that cost, so there’s that

  • Isaac

Well, damn. If the super deluxe edition didn’t cost a thousand bucks I might get it. I still might spring for the deluxe, though.

  • tom

Are they all remastered? I would love a properly mastered version of as the palaces burn

    • cosk

yeah i woulda been happier if just that happened

  • Alex_P

Is USB a popular format nowadays? I feel old…

    • GayHateMachine

      Not really.

  • Trainwreck

Does anyone have any idea of the format and quality of the digital files will be?

Are we talkin’ lossless or lossy? FLAC, ALAC or VBR 0 MP3s?

    • Kye

If it’s a pure digital copy, there’s absolutely no justifiable reason for it not to be a lossless 24/96 file.

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Aubrey-Ingraham/778175014 Aubrey Ingraham

the files on the usb stick on the Best Buy Wrath box set were 320′s

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Kasper-Maigaard/1027001938 Kasper Maigaard

I just came. I need those vinyls as I already have all their albums on CD. And a record-player too. And some cash.

  • RomuluXX

Just preordered the vinyl box set. I wish someone would launch a grand out of a cannon that would land in my lap so I could buy the super deluxe version.

  • Slaughterhouse

Demo’s are cool but I don’t think this is worth it! I own all of their albums, so really, there is no point in buying this except maybe to say I own it. And the unreleased songs, but I can live without those!

  • BRICKLAYER

Way to insult long time fans who already own everything, by not selling Volume 3 individually.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Aubrey-Ingraham/778175014 Aubrey Ingraham

.torrent is your best friend in this situation.

    • chris

Yea, no shit! Just like when a band releaces a new album, just to releace another version a few months later with bonus tracks, so the reals fans that already bought the album have to buy it again if they want the bonus tracks! And they wonder why people just download the shit. While I love LOG, and cant wait to see them live again this summer, I will not pay $25+ or whatever for 3 cds when I only want one.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Aubrey-Ingraham/778175014 Aubrey Ingraham

HOLY FUCK. Just finished the full song. this is what Lamb of God should be. no over dubs. no layers. no fucking processing. no crap. JUST raw fucking METAL. this song is the best thing I’ve heard from LOG since As the Palaces Burn and Ashes of the Wake.

I’m sorry to all the people who dig the new stuff but thats not LOG, that corporate metal.

The “I’m a Starving Artist” sound of the old days is what I loved about LOG. Desperation, HATE, a big FUCK YOU to everyone and everything. I can hear that in this demo……

someone need to tell them this.

    • D Rey

HAHAHAHA. Corporate metal!!! oh that’s funny. I love how people feel that music is about anything other than the music. Especially if its good music. LOG has done nothing except get progressively better with time. Every single album Ive felt a change in every members talent as they strive for harder more technical styles of musicianship. Wrath is probably one of my favorite albums solely for its complexity. Corporate metal….HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Music is music. love it for what it is not for “what is cool” or “what crowd” you fit into or even “Desperation, HATE, a big FUCK YOU to everyone and everything” Yeah thats how i want to live my life. FUCK THE WORLD!!! thats not what its all about.

  • Kris

Lamb of God= corporate white trash metal

    • D Rey

Kris = no talent ass clown!!!!

  • King Cheezit

WHY in hell is the pure American metal flag in the $1,000 package? I’ve wanted one ever since I saw it and have always thought/hoped that they would market it, and now I have to shell out a grand to get it? Damn.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Andrew-Sterner/1335958279 Andrew Sterner

You kids and you’re elitism. “Corporate metal”…I’m pretty sure that’s what Poison and bands of that nature are(Metallica, that means you as well). LoG is not corporate metal.

    • Kevin

Yea, you may not like their more recent albums, but they are not “corporate metal”. That’s just silly “TROO” wanking.

      • kork

i found a log cd at a wal-mart nuff said listen to gorod or pit bulls in the nursery

        • SolaceInNothing

music is meant to be entertained by, not used as a symol of status dipshit.

All you have to do is just listen to it and be “troo” to yourself. I have listened to Gorod and LOG and you know what? I like LOG, and Im not a fan of Gorod. Doesn’t mean I have anything against Gorod I hope they have all the success in the world. I chose not to listen to that band and I do choose to listen to LOG

I dont care if they allow their stuff to be sold in Walmart. It sounds good to me, so I listen to it. I have nothing to prove to anyone.

          • D Rey

            amen brother
