far, far from metal. ever further from “good”.

Saw them on this tour. I couldn’t really get into them.

Caught them on the first night they had to play longer to make up for Torche’s loss of gear, and they weren’t too bad…they locked-in with each other well, and played with a good deal of energy. The first half of the songs they played had me toying with the idea of picking up their latest album at the merch booth. But the second half of the songs convinced me to do otherwise.

That show when they were in San Francisco was balls out incredible, all three bands. Coheed’s set on this tour is all their heaviest songs and two acoustic numbers.

“Al the Killer” and “Guns of Summer” definitely amped up the heavy factor…I hope the latter becomes a new live staple for them.

    Really.

10000 – Torche went on first. Because of work, I did not arrive in time for their set.
