YOUR FIRST TASTE OF NEW IRON THRONES MUSIC!

iron thrones - the wretched sunI have heard the entire new Iron Thrones album, The Wretched Sun. And it is good. Very good.

Now you can get a taste of it too in a “making of” clip video premiered by our proteges at The Number of the Blog. The track “I Once Had the Crown” serves as the background music for the 3-minute clip, which features various shots of the band in the studio and goofing around. It sounds fantastic, courtesy a stellar mixing job by Machine Shop producer Will Putney.

I’ve only had a chance to listen to The Wretched Sun once since I got my hands on it, but it’s definitely the kind of the album that’s going to take multiple listens to fully wrap my head around. It’s what we’ve been waiting for since we started this Scion “No Label Needed” business back in January, and I think the results are definitely worth the wait.

    looking forward to this. I’ve dug Iron Thrones sound since they started as Everest, and Adam is an excellent vocalist who fits the band perfectly.

    The track in the video was awesome definitely curious to hear the rest, hopefully scion will do this again its been fun watching all the videos and you know they got to be happy

    IMO stupid vocals. very stupid, dont match to the music at all. i think this’s stupid tendency to write rocknroll | catchy melodic metal with only screams/growls & no clean vocals at all. it doesnt make songs alot more metal, & not only for me, it’s fuckin stupid metalheads’ cliche that too many people accepted to excuse their lack of vocal abilities/ taste (both groups & fans). i dont mean screamin/growlin effects (calling it singing is rather blasphemous) are useless at all, but they must be used when it’s really needed for the song. for it’s much more better to use real extreme vocals, i mean hetfield-type raw singing.
