Or so I’m led to believe by the album art for their latest offering, Warp Riders. But that’s cool! It means we can be friends. Come over to the Mansion and hang some time, The Sword.

Warp Riders comes out August 24 on Kemado Records. It will probably sound an awful lot like Ozzy-era Sabbath. Just a guess.

    I loves me some Sword! Also, this certainly is some great artwork. Even better than the Cephalic Carnage art, although that’s like comparing apples and oranges.

    Nice art, I wish the band interested me as much. I think that Black Pyramid album you guys reviewed recently is way better than anything The Sword has ever done. If you’re gonna shamelessly rip off Black Sabbath, you have to write riffs that Tony Iommi wishes he had written.

    Seeing as I loved Gods Of The Earth, I’m definitely excited for this.

    And as much as it looks like an Atari game, it reminds me more of a lot of classic-era sci-fi book art.

    Oh, and Axl… if you hadn’t noticed, most stoner/doom sounds like Ozzy-era Sabbath. It’s inescapable.

    there’s gonna be a fuckton of crash cymbal, you can count on that. if their drumming was better and more creative they’d be a lot better. thank god their guitarists can shred. its what makes them bearable

      They played two songs off it when I saw them live a few months ago, they were pretty damn good.

    Does anyone else see a huge vagina shooting a space ship out of it , or is it just me ? I saw em open for Metallica and they were decent, then caught em for like $12 and they are actually way better live than on cd
