MP3 GIVEAWAY: THE SWORD – “TRES BRUJAS”

Well, here’s an excellent way to kick-off your week: a free download of a new studio track The Sword! There’s been some live footage of “Trej Brujas” (that’s “Three Witches” to us non-Spanish speakers) floating around the interwebs, but this is your first chance to hear the studio version of the song. All you have to do is enter your e-mail address into the widget below, and a link for your free download will be sent to you immediately. We hope you dig it!

“Tres Brujas” will appear on The Sword’s latest offering, Warp Riders, which comes out August 24 on Kemado Records.

    Does this cover remind anyone else of the Led Zeppelin, Mothership cover? First thing I thought of when I saw it.

    I can make out the lyrics?!?! Wow. I always liked them even though I considered the vocals really weak. Sounds like I’ll have to check this album out.

    I guess I’m in the minority here, don’ like it. I liked the last two Sword albums but after moving heavier and more thrashy on the last album, this is way too ZZ Top for me.

      I agree. I thought they were better when they were mixing 1970s rock with Slayer and Master of Puppets era Metallica. If I wanted to hear this, I would listen to Wolfmother.

      Yea i hear you dude, the more metal songs from the first 2 albums are alot better than this, especially for the vocals haha in this song the vocals were recorded way too….well

      I couldn’t agree more Ian. If this is the new sound, the album is going to be very disappointing. I absolutely love the last two albums, but this new track is total Wolfmother.

    Wow that’s nice. I enjoyed the last two albums a lot. Just seeing the art on this one made me want to get it…I think this song’s sold me!

    Album artwork was good, not much else was, though. Vocals are quite weak and hesitant. Music sounds empty and lacking something.
    Someone might like it though.

    It was alright, something about it isn’t nearly as the first 2 albums. They said they were going more “Hard Rock” instead of “Metal” for this album, but i hope this isn’t what the entire album sounds like.

    It is kickass album art though, they are usually pretty good with that

    I’m sorry, but I had much higher expectations. I think the cover sucks, I hate the new logo, the vocals are terrible, and it just seems really lacking compared to the first two albums.

    Guitars could be a bit louder, but the mix is more balanced than previous albums. Lovin’ it, gonna get my flares on and rock out all over my living room, roll on 24-Aug!

    New logo and new sound – risky! The vox are very clear as if he’s trying to sing properly now – although I liked the distant cries of the old albums.

    Music sounds fine, I was expecting heavier though. Can’t hear the buzzsaw guitars now. Am I the only one that doesn’t like the cover? Looks like a cheesy sci-fi novel!
