YOUR LAST CHANCE TO SEE CATTLE DECAPITATION BEFORE THEY HIT THE STUDIO

Everyone’s favorite vegan death metal band, Cattle Decapitation, are gonna start writing their new album at the end of this year, which is great news ’cause, well, they’re motherfucking Cattle Decapitation.

Also great news: that they’re gonna do a headlining run, “The California Blood Tour,” before they start that process. (The name is a reference to the point of origin for the bands on the tour — they’re actually playing all over North America. A little confusing, but whatever.)

ALSO great news: that they’re taking some really cool bands with them on the trek, including the Sergeant D.-beloved Devourment and Burning the Masses, as well as MetalSucks favorites Son of Aurelius. (Knights of the Abyss, who I don’t know as well as I probably should, are also on the bill; Slaughterbox and Condemned will play select dates.) This will be SOA’s first time playing outside their general West Coast vicinity (at least as far as I know), and I can’t express how excited I am to finally see them live. And with Cattle Decap! Pinch me, for I must be dreaming.

      they were in Montreal (April 30) on the jfac/whitechaple tour (didn’t go wish i went) i think they were in Canada on the tour i didn’t see any posters were there name wasn’t up there and i went to the venue like every week of that month for other shows. sucks there not coming up i really wanna fucking see them and with SOA!!!!!!! would have been sick

    Cattle Decap, SOA together is sweet… But i looked twice to make sure that It was DEVOURMENT!!! Trifecta DM package there. You got the grind, melodic and of course the slam!

      Definitely going to be a badass show. Good variety for sure, and Devourment doesn’t seem to tour very often. Stoked.

    I once ate a bacon cheeseburger in front Travis once. Needless to say he wasn’t very happy about that. Dude is a major dickhead, and I MEAN major dickhead. The other guys were all very cool, and their merch guy was hilarious because he did the same thing hahahahahaha. But yeah I love the bands music, but I can see why people hate them so much.

        Yeah its amusing at best. I thought the Jarboe guest vocals on their latest cd were very interesting. Seriously nothing amuses that man. Shit you could fart in his fart, and talk about stupid shit and still no humor. Thats why Anal Cunt should tour with this band.

          I actually met Travis and he seemed pretty down to earth. I’m guessing the cheeseburger might have had something to do with invoking his dickish side or something.

          I wish they did more with Jarboe or plan to do more with her. They took grind and death in made something quite interesting out of it on “The Harvest Floor”.

          Anal Cunt is basically one bad humor joke. Yeah Seth Putnam hates a lot of people, but a lot of that was him trying to be offensive.

      Travis is one of the coolest people I’ve ever met. He was very talkative and friendly. If you knew the guy was a vegan/vegetarian/whatever the hell why would you deliberately eat a fucking cheese burger right in front of him? He probably get’s shit like that from smart ass hXc kids all the time. I think it was just poor judgement on your part, sir.

    SOA are another band I just don’t understand the hype about. They’re not terrible, though they are generic. Meh.

    Cattle Decapitation are sick though, would go just for them. Burning The Masses are nice, too.

    Awesome, haven’t really listened to any of the other bands except SoA, but I love Cattle Decap, this year’s really been awesome for me as far as shows go, I didn’t get to go see the Evisceration Plague tour, Ruination tour, and MD Deathfest, but still not a bad year.

    Gonna hopefully go see the manchester gig in the uk, Cattle and gorod sounds very nice. The us lineup sounds good apart from Son of Aurelius.
