NEW INSOMNIUM SONG IS EPIC AND AWESOME, SURPRISING NO ONE

A reader calling himself “Ross UK” tipped us off that Insomnium have released “Weather the Storm,” a new song featuring guest vocals by Dark Tranquillity’s Mikael Stanne, apparently in anticipation of DT’s upcoming European “Where Death is Most Alive” tour. And that’s really all the info I have. But it’s an awesome new Insomnium song, so, really, what else do you need to know? Sometimes, in my darkest moments, I’ve considered suicide, or, worse, taking a job at a hip-hop magazine, and it’s only the thought of all the new Insomnium music I’d miss that keeps me off the ledge.

    Wow, would have thought someone else would have told you before me! Ah well, Glad to see it on the site at last! Insomnium deserve every bit of publicity they can get, an absolutely amazing band!

      Be’lakor are an essential listen if you are into melodic death metal. More doomy and progressive than Insomnium, but still high quality stuff.

    Jesus, how did this slip by me?! I’m so glad insomnium hasn’t taken their dive yet. hah, I always laugh at how intertwined the melodeth scene is, and yet there’s not nearly as many cultists as BM, but props to insomnium for nabbing Mikael Stanne \m/

    I shall check this out. I was fairly disappointed with “Across the Dark” compared to their earlier release. It didn’t seem to carry its weight as much. But hey, if they are going to release a new album…I wouldn’t mind picking it up.

    They do melodeath right, though. Props to them.
