        This. They’ve grown as songwriters, and the new album is actually pretty good.

        I still fucking hate them as people though, especially Oli Sykes.

          They tried to grow as writers by trying to be progressive and add keyboards and such. I think they still have a lot of work to do in that department…that album strays all over the fucking place. Suicide Season is MUCH better.

            yeah i agree. suicide season is a quality album to the point where i wonder if people just make judgements without actually listening to the music. i call it party metal – it’s fun. metal can be too serious sometimes which is where BMTH went wrong with their new album.

            I definitely like their last two albums. They aren’t mind blowing or anything, but it’s decent poppy metalcore that leans more towards being hardcore than ripping off At the Gates.

            Really though, I’d be happy with any heavy band, whether I liked them or not, making this accomplishment. People can talk about how dead Myspace is and whatnot, but, from what I can tell, it’s essentially just a music website now, so I’ll give the guys credit.

        Trenton is beautiful. All the venues here suck. Conduit used to be good. The only good one now is Champions and thats only once in a while.

      I don’t know about Powerglove but I saw Arsis not that long ago on a different tour and, they are absolutely amazing live. Raw energy. I would see them again if given the chance.

      Also, Bring Me The Horizon sucks. No amount of keyboards are gonna change that.

    God what a horrible band this is though. Their new stuff doesn’t even have that ‘guilty pleasure’ deathcore-mosh fun, it’s generic pop hardcore rock that thinks it genre busting cos they have an electroy sounding bit at the beginning. Basically Linkin Park really

        I want Justin Bieber to go all “edgy” and start dressing like the singer from BFMV in a couple years when he realized having dropped balls and the cute angle don’t work together. Maybe he’ll even rock an ironic High on Fire shirt.

    BMTH is so christfuckingly awful. About half of their new album (when they try to be “experimental”, that is) is so hilariously awful it kind of works as a guilty pleasure, but in general it’s bland, boring and despicable music made by and for bland, boring and despicable people. Poser garbage to the highest degree.

    And no, cool t-shirts do not earn them my respect, whether it’s High on Fire or Morrissey.

    BMTH’s last two albums are brilliant…. Yeah there is tons of breakdowns, but they are catchy and quite heavy (esp suicide season).

    Yeah they might not look metal or whatever, but fact is listen to the music, stop worrying about what they look like. If you are that concerned about looks, then metal aint for you… go listen to top 40 then.

    I really don’t understand they hate with this band, i guess it’s the jealousy of all the girls in the metal scene loving these guys, instead of a fat bearded guy from some generic swedish metal band…

    Im digging the new Bring me the Horizon. Im actually surprised. I think 95 percent of the dislike at this site is their image and honestly i cant see that when i listen so I never cared about the band members either way.
