Entirely removed from that bastard known as metalcore, this band’s imminently available record IV: Symptoms of Existence thrashes and rages much like what you call metal–far more so than All That Remains or Underoath.     I didn’t realize there were so many people who don’t distinguish between metallic hardcore and metalcore.

      agreed, those genres are unmistakably different. i would assume that more listeners would have a harder time distinguishing btwn ‘metallic hardcore’ and plain ol ‘hardcore’

      BTW: this (MoM) sounds pretty good. Nothing i havnt heard before, but i def. like the energy.

    This is the shit. I haven’t heard a decent metallic hardcore album for years. Gimme a bit of Strife or Indecision any day.

    I’m not usually a metalcore OR hardcore guy, but I gotta say that the riffs on this album are pretty fucking killer. Might just make a believer out of me.

    I’m a huge MOM fan, and don’t know if feel let down. It sounds solid & fun (MOM), but sounds like everything else they have already done.. and I’m pretty sure the beginning of “Upper Hand” sounds like the RE4 opener lol

    Never been much into hardcore but this has some killer riffs and a lot of energy (even if the singer has a vocal range of exactly one note). Will be ordering shortly.
