OZZY OSBOURNE’S LATEST ARTISTIC MASTERPIECE: A COMMERCIAL FOR BRISK ICED TEA

I think it was announced some time ago that Ozzy Osbourne would be the latest celebrity to partake in Brisk’s “Now that’s Brisk, baby!” ad campaign, but the actual commercial wasn’t released until last night. And I’m feeling kinda torn between my self-righteous indignation that Ozzy is now shilling for a cavity-inducing chemical which will never actually quench your thirst but, rather, make you more thirsty (salt content, kids!), and the fact that Ozzy has gotten very, very good at playing the buffoon over the years, and, consequently, his line reading of the phrase “Go on cruise” made me giggle.

So I’ll let you guys decide. Is Ozzy’s latest endeavor yet another blow to his once-great legacy, or is just, like, freakin’ adorable? Watch the commercial below, and then debate its merits, or lack thereof, in our comments section.

    You really have to place this in a long line of Ozzy-promoted products, so to argue over his choice of “going commercial” yet again, would be rather pointless. It made me crack a smile and believe that this product can actually quench your thirst beyond 20-25 minutes…..and maybe grabbing a Snickers afterwards because you are legitimately “hungry”.

    Sadly, this is nothing new for the Ozzman. Between his cringe-inducing reality show, a Pepsi commercial – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TrLa1BC6y2s – , and using Crazy Train on a car commerical way back when, is anyone really surprised by this? His latest musical offerings have been sub-par at best, and he can barely hold up on stage anymore, so this is where he goes. Magrudergrind teamed up with Scion, Mastodon, LOG, and High On Fire are all on the soundtrack to the Splatterhouse video game, and Trent Reznor won a Golden Globe. Commercialism and metal are becoming the new normal to a degree…

    Ozzy sold out long enough ago that I’m actually able to smile at this without considering the ethical ramifications. It’s certainly no worse than his stint on MTV.

    Like the posters above already stated, he has been involved in this type of thing for a long time so anyone that gets upset or angry is wasting their time and breath. It is what it is people. I’m sure 98% of people would do the same thing if they were given the same opportunity.

    Grow a front butt made me “LOL”. Loved that.

    Are we really expecting The Ozzman to reappear? I’m not. Uncle Ozzy is here to stay and, for the most part, his commercial work is pretty funny. I still crack up when I see the spot he did for World of Warcraft.

    for me the only defence i can provide for this commercial was that the animation reminded me of A Claymation Christmas which had the california raisins in it and totally kicked ass no matter what anyone says.

    Dump some Brisk into a water pipe, blast away for a few minutes and, watch this commercial – yes, it’s fucking funny stuff. No need to get all serious about shit.

    It’s fine. You can understand him, that’s a plus. Also if we’re talking ads with Ozzy in them in general – that WoW commercial that he did a year or two ago was pretty good.
