STREAMED DEICIDE’S TO HELL WITH GOD YET?

Monday, February 14th, 2011 at 2:00pm by

The announcement came in too late on Friday for us to get a story up before the weekend, but Deicide’s new album, To Hell With God, is now streaming in full online prior to its release tomorrow. Headbang here.

I’m curious to hear what you guys make of this record. Personally, I think it’s pretty sweet — there’s a lot of great material on here, and it might be one of the best-produced, if not the best-produced, albums they’ve ever made. But I know that there people who think this album is too melodic/glossy, which I believe is akin to thinking that shooting someone in the head just isn’t murder-y enough. But I respect your opinions.*

So give it a listen, then weigh in with your thoughts in the comments section below…

*Vince tells me I have to say that. I do not actually respect your opinions.

sounds good. deicide always have awesome riffs to start songs.

looking forward to reading about why they had to cancel upcoming shows…

Sounds great, usual. The post-Hoffman Bros Deicide is strong as ever. I haven’t had the chance to fully digest this one, but “Stench” IMO is probably the best Deicide album and this seems to follow in that tradition.

Cancelled upcoming shows? Say it ain’t so – I’m seeing them Wednesday night in Charlotte and expect my face to be melted off.

When does this actually hit the stores? I’m one of those lame people that actually still buy the CDs. Lol.

And there’s nothing wrong with that, I pre-ordered the shit out of this album.

    • cyrollan

I pre-ordered the album off of CMDISTRO (centry media i guess), and it’s bundled with a shirt for $20, which is WAY cheaper than they could be purchased for separately!

  • noobpotato

Its a great album, surprisingly catchy in places (Dat chorus of ‘save your’).

  • Bastard

Why bother hyping such an uncompromisingly awful lump of turd? I can only assume they fucking pay you (Darkest Hour and Daath too, I assume).

    • Steve O

Yeah, this album is a hunk of shit but then again pretty much everything this band has done is. Excluding the first 2 albums, which are utter classics.

      • 0contaminated

what if he is stoked about the album and jacking off to the banner what would it mean to you anyways. sticking up for this band does not make you anymore likeable as far as existence is concerned trust me, u scum.

  • Metalguy

Shit sucks. Some catchy parts but the riffs are boring as hell. And it has no bass

  • Matt

DEICIDE ARE PUSSIES COMPARED TO EMMURE. THAT’S WHY METALSUCKS ADVERTISES EMMURE OVER DEICIDE

  • cyrollan

(Actually, this is a reply to Metalguy; but there doesn’t seem to be any “reply” button.)

Funny, the first Deicide album with audible bass “has no bass”. Not funny haha, but funny incongruent.

i’m streaming based purely on liking some vital remains tracks. i somehow am already at track 9 and looking forward to the album ending. it’s getting monotonous and i’m ok with not listening to this album again…

If you don’t like the new Deicide and Devin Townsend isn’t your favorite artist, then you are basically a cuntlord who loves Jason Aldean.

  • Adam

What are all these comments about canceling shows?

  • KickMyJunk

    Excellent album.
