We have a special treat for you today, kiddies: a pre-release full-album stream of Forward Into Regression, the face-fuckingly good new album from Floridian grindsters Maruta. This album is unrelenting in its viciousness; it’s like the aural equivalent of being made to eat broken glass. Somehow, the jagged edges all fit together into a cohesive whole — and that whole is wholly excellent.

        couldn’t agree more. it’s like power-violence, grindcore, and extreme metal meeting in perfect ways on that label. they’ve really nailed it. I wish Crowpath was still around.

      yeah ive been following this band for a while the older drummer left and joined trivium im sure they used to not have a bass player. in narcosis fucking slays hard to the video they have is brutal

    But, I don’t know if I would even call it “grindcore”. Its a mix of grind, tech death, and punk.

    Pretty good. Might consider getting this. I’ve known of Maruta since the time Nick Augusto joined Trivium, yet never really listened to any of their stuff; apparently I’ve been missing out.
