HATE ETERNAL/ORIGIN: HOLY SHIT I AM GOING TO THIS TOUR

Wednesday, March 9th, 2011 at 10:00am by

Our pals at Decibel and Metal Injection are sponsoring a co-headlining Hate Eternal/Origin tour this summer, with Vital Remains and Abysmal Dawn doing support. And you don’t really need to know anything else other than the answer to “Where can I buy my ticket?” I mean I’m sure some of you in the comments section will be like “This tour is no biggie,” and I just wanna let you know right now that I DON’T UNDERSTAND HOW WE’RE BOTH MEMBERS OF THE SAME SPECIES. That’s how excited I am for this tour.

This like last year’s Super Orgasm Tour, only for br00tal death metal bands instead of nerdy prog metal dorks. And I feel like I haven’t had the chance to see Hate Eternal or Origin live in a long, long time — like, a couple of years — so I’m even harder than I’d probably be under normal circumstances. But you’re eyes don’t deceive you, that is definitely a bulge in my jeans.

I am going to stop showering now in anticipation of fitting in with the rest of the crowd. While I go throw away all my soap, you can get dates after the jump.

Does this mean Hate Eternal has a new record coming out? Because I could REALLY go for some new Hate Eternal in 2011.

A post left last night on Hate Eternal’s facebook page reads as follows:

      “Hate Eternal
Hey Guys,Rutan here album is mastered and delivered to Metal Blade, are you ready?

Current estimations put the release in around end of may, maybe early summer.

        Awesome as fuck.

  • fritz

OH COME ON. The one tour you guys are hyping up that I don’t care for is actually coming here to SK? God damn it.

never been a fan of Hate eternal, Rutan just doesnt do it for me, but Origin is SICK…Vital Remains I played with quite a few times in my old band. Abysmal Dawn i need to check out more but havent really spent much time on them, either way it does look like a good tour though.

Sounds like a cool tour. But 8 hours (each way) is a bit too long a drive for me.

  • Utmu

WTF?!?! No Pennsylvania OR New Jersey shows?!?! I think the closest show on that list is New York…

Yeah, its messed up man. Its not like Philadelphia is the sixth largest city in the US or anything.

    • Conor

In the same boat, gentlemen. What the fuck? More Philly shows!

      • Amaj9

As a Philadelphian I for one cannot stand this. It should be mandated that every major metal tour must make a stop in Philadelphia. Our metal community here is top tier. Now I have to travel to New York and listen to that god awful accent while trying not to get ran over by some non-driving asshole eating shitty pizza.(philly has the best pizza, get wit it).

  • yzermantiis

The key club in Hollywood?????? No thanks.

    palladium or bust

  • Jon

Mitochondrion is playing the Vancouver show.

I have tried to like Hate Eternal – I don’t. They have a great drummer and/but no songs. Origin haven’t been good since their second album. I’d go see Vital Remains if Glen Benton was singing, but he’s not. Abysmal Dawn are the best band on this bill (new album’s really good), but they’re only gonna play for 25-30 minutes max. I’ll pass.

finally a good show in orlando, it seems bands only go to tampa os somewhere down south

  • Adam

Not a huge Hate Eternal fan, but I’d rather see/listen to them than yet ANOTHER deathcore show. Origin just kicks ass too, so thats great. And Vital Remains…

the best part is that there isn’t a deathcore band on the bill.

  • sufficate

Kansas always gets the shaft. Even bands from this state won’t stop by on a cool tour. Lame.

  • hector

Stop fucking whining everyone. They can not play everywhere.

  • lurking fear

    No Tuktoyaktuk show?! WTF?!

    • Pokemanzzz

      Zingaling.

  • The Overmatt

Hmmm, if I do the Montreal show, I’m gonna be getting home at 2 AM, only to get up at 5 to bus to Toronto for A Perfect Circle at Edgefest. Decisions decisions.
