NEW JAMZ: BIG CHOCOLATE “HILION” EP #DUBCORE

Most of you probably know BIG CHOCOLATE aka Cam Argon for his work as the world’s finest guttural vocalist, but that’s only one of the many facets of the guttural slam/dubstep/drum n bass/deathcore artist known as BIG C. Say what you want about him, but this cat is prolific —  if the 5 zillion EPs and demos he’s released with Perforate Carcass, Commissioner, Disfiguring The Goddess, Malodorous, and so forth weren’t enough to satisfy your craving for MOAR BIG C, he just dropped a new EP of dubstep/dnb/deathcore tracks (check it out here on Soundcloud)!

BIG C live in Spokane, WA (my dad’s home town). Being a DJ these days basically just means pressing play on your iTunes while you dance behind your Macbook. It’s so easy that even a woman could do it! The punchline? DJs get 1000 times more cash and ass than real musicians. U JELLY???

I know it makes forum nerds rage when you combine metal with other genres, but I’ve always been a big fan of both dance music (back in the 90s I was a big fan of the usual suspects like DJ Dara, Landslide/anything on Hospital Records and still jam anything from the cold, minimal techno of My My to the cheesy, welcoming electrohouse of Greg Churchill) and guttural slamming brutality, so I am really stoked on what Cam is doing.     His stuff is unique I personally for dubstep and stuff like that like Excision and Bassnectar. say what you want about dubstep but everyone likes their own music. HiLioN is a solid release some of the songs i dont like that much but i think it runs in its own vein and isnt just another release of the same dubstep bass-lines.

      +1. (Lord Worm is also arguable here in the mid 90′s but his were more barks. Joe actually exhales and did what everyone started doing in the mid 00′s with pussy ass inhales.)

    Joe is a solid dude, I met him like 15 years ago because he was wearing a hideous mangleus shirt at a hardcore show. Real nice guy.

    I support whatever Big C does whether it’s dance music, Disfiguring The Goddess, or Commissioner. He’s good at everything he does and an artist should be allowed to do anything they feel comfortable with, without criticism. HiLion was one of the top 10 on the iTunes dance music charts for a reason.

    Why is there dubstep on a metal site? For that matter, why is there dubstep at all? And while we’re at it, why are you kids on my lawn?

    Dubstep is awful and I’m scared of new things.
