LET’S HEAR IT FOR HAMMERFALL “ONE MORE TIME”

Hammerfall are completely ridiculous (in a good way), and their new video for “One More Time” is no different (also in a good way). One day I will see Hammerfall live. But until that day I will maintain the illusion that their live show is [almost] as ginormous and impressive as Rammstein’s, complete with fire, dozens of light arrays, lots of hair, and, uh, zombies, just like it is in this fantastic cinematic masterpiece.

Nuclear Blast will release Infected in Europe on May 20th and in North America on June 7th. So that’s May 20th worldwide, for anyone living in 2011 who uses the internet.

Because no post about Hammerfall is complete without the video they made with the smokin’ hot ’06 Swedish Olympic Curling Team, you’ll find that after the jump.

      Definitely. I didn’t see one thing that stood out about this video. Decent production, but it’s nothing new. It’s zombies. Filmed the same way zombies are always filmed. Meh.

      I’m not really a big fan of HammerFall though, so that may have played into my negative comments about the video, too. Hmph.

    ‘Glory’ and ‘Legacy’ were awesome and I put up with ‘Renegade,’ but holy shit this is terrible aside from the two solos.

    By the way, Nocturnal Rites’ video for “Awakening” is almost the exact same thing with a better song, and I think Patrick might have directed that too… Running out of ideas, are we?

    I’ve been a huuuuuuge Hammerfall fan ever since I first heard them when Crimson Thunder came out. Chapter 5 was a solid followup, but then the entire heart and soul of that band left.. Stefan Elmgren, one of the best power metal guitarists ever, left to become a pilot, and thats when it all went to shit..

    Saw them live last year with Powerglove and they were awesome, complete with a setlist covering all their albums… But it just wasn’t the same without that bald headed god shredding the leads.

    You say there are zombies in this video? I just see some humans in blood.
    Zombies are supposed to bed dead and start to rot. Just putting on half a litre of fake blood does not make a zombie. The make up is needed not just blood.

    Great band, good video if it wasnt for those awful “zombie-wannabes”… (they couldnät even fool a zombie and they are not the brightest ;) )

    Throughout the video i kept expecting a guy in a hector suit killing zombies. The lack of hector’s hammering things. No, the lack of massive hammers at all, was dissapointing.

    I think Hammerfall’s best before date passed a decade ago. Renegade (2000) was the last good solid album from them. Then it has been one yawnfest and disappointment after another. Now I can safely assume any new album will suck before getting a listen and confirming it.

    Although the video sucks this song should hit it with those that still like Hammerfall, Zombies and pyro…
