I WANNA WATCH TERRIBLE MOVIES WITH ED GEIN

Ed Gein’s Bad Luck really knocked me flat on my ass. This is one of those grind albums that manages to be both vicious and incredibly fun, and I implore you to check it out when it’s released next week.

But if for some reason you need convincing, here’s my argument: “The Wraith,” a new track currently streaming at Noisecreep. (The Ed Gein song we ourselves debuted, “Wasted Life,” also kicks major ass. You can check that song out here.) The premiere also arrives with an interview with bassist Aaron Jenkins, who says that the song is named after a 1986 horror movie that stars two actors who would go on to be batshit crazy, Charlie Sheen and Randy Quaid, plus plus Nick Cassavetes, the son of the legendary John Cassavetes and Gena Rowlands who eventually direct The Notebook (yucky), and Clint Howard, mutant brother of Ron Howard. So, as if the excellent music wasn’t enough reason to love this band, they are also apparently connoisseurs of crappy cinema, a hobby which is always commendable.

Headbang here, then come back and celebrate this song’s rockitude in our comments section. Bad Luck comes out June 21 on Black Market Activities.

I thought everyone knew about The Wraith. That movie is so cheesy, but is better for it. It embraces its campiness and uses it as a strength rather than weakness.

Also, Ed Gein are amazing as are the new songs so far. Can’t wait to hear the new album.

The Wraith is, I would dare say, an 80′s bad movie classic. Sheen is a living ghost who uses his car to get revenge on the dudes who did him wrong. Preety much an early version of The Crow. I think I watched it as the Sunday Afternoon movie on WPIX 11 (pre UPN) too many times. Right after Eye of the Tiger and The Last Dragon. Yep. I had no life. Metal would later follow.
