MORE STREAMS FOR DAT ASS: DEVIN TOWNSEND, IN FLAMES, UNEARTH

Tomorrow brings the release of a number of highly anticipated new releases, four of which are now streaming online if you wanna check ’em out before you purchase ’em:

  • In Flames’ latest, Sounds of a Playground Fading, is now streaming in full here. I think this is album is a major bummer, especially considering that IF are one of my favorite metal bands of all time. But give it a spin and feel free to disagree with me.
  • The Devin Townsend Project’s dual releases, Ghost and Deconstruction, are now streaming here and here, respectively. These albums are like the exact opposite of the In Flames record — not only are they not a letdown, but they exceeded my expectations, which is especially nutty when you consider that my expectations were not at all low.
  • Unearth’s new album, Darkness in the Light, is now streaming here. It’s another quality release from the Massholes, although the band hasn’t really made very many changes to their sound, so if you didn’t like them before, I doubt this will convert you. For the rest of us, though… well, as Sergeant D. would say, “YOU’RE MOSHING!”

And, by the way, if you haven’t read our recent interview with Mr. Townsend, well, you absolutely must do so. It’s fascinating and entertaining and just all around great.

And once you’ve had a chance to check these jawns out, let us know whatcha think in the comments section below.
