TRENT REZNOR AND ATTICUS ROSS’ SCORE FOR THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO GETS A RELEASE DATE + ALBUM ART

And, according to Nine Inch Nails’ official website, that release date is December 2. Mute Records will release the album internationally, while Null will handle distribution in North America.

As fot the album art… It’s pretty sparse, but I’m digging it; bright white is not the color you’d usually associate with the character of Lisbeth Salander, but her simple, stark, silhouetted image seems all the more striking for being presented in such an unexpected manner. It almost feels like an x-ray without being an x-ray; it’s that extreme of a vibe. Check it out below and see what you think…

Does anyone actually enjoy listening to soundtracks by trent
reznor?  Not hating, just couldn’t seem
less appealing to me and I never really have given them a try.  I do really enjoy instrumental and atmospheric music however, they just don’t seem like something I would
    enjoy.   Worth
checking out or droning garbage that happens to have trent reznor’s name
    attached?

Dude, I have never disliked anything Trent Reznor has done & of all the stuff I listened to as a kid I am very happy to see him make the transition from “Rock Star” to “Proper Composer”. Like Frank Zappa before him I think he’s distinctly deserving, out of his generation, of recognition beyond popular music & I think its cool he’s starting get it.

I’ve been known to be a big fan of trent as well.  Just not listened to him much in recent years.  Just saw that the social network is on spotify so there is no reason for me not to give it a listen.

I listen to The Social Network soundtrack pretty much everyday. It’s just music I really dig so I’m hoping this will be the same. If not, then Trent and Atticus didn’t make “droning garbage,” just a soundtrack I’m not into.
