CINEMETAL ROUND-UP: NEW VIDEOS FROM CANNIBAL CORPSE, MELVINS, CHARRED WALLS OF THE DAMNED, AND TERRORIZER
Music videos: they still exist! I swear it’s true. Sometimes, they’re even good! Let’s watch some now together, shall we?
First up, we have the new, David Brodsky-directed video for Cannibal Corpse’s “Encased in Concrete,” which just debuted on Bloody Disgusting. It’s a really good video, which isn’t shocking in the least — my love of Brodsky’s work is well known, and Cannibal Corpse, of all bands, are aware of the importance of visual representations of their music. The clip isn’t embeddable, but you can see it by clicking on the screen cap below.
Next up is “The War on Wisdom,” the new clip from the Melvins. The concept is basically the same as the one for Pantera’s “Revolution is My Name” video, with kids dressed up like the band taking center stage. But as someone who has a
court order to stay away from soft spot for young children, I do not mind at all. I mean, Itty Bitty Buzzo? Adorable!
Now we come to another Bloody Disgusting debut: Charred Walls of the Damned’s “Zerospan.” Knowing, as you probably do, that CWOTD’s Richard Christy is a huge horror fan, you will not be surprised to learn that this video goes to some really yucky places… but does so in a very fun way. Again, it’s not embeddable, so click the screen cap below to watch it:
And we conclude today with Terrorizer’s new video, “Hordes of Zombies,” which debuted on Metal Injection. This is, um, not my favorite video ever… but I do love the song and accompanying album! So please watch it anyway, okay? Maybe consider some further investigation?
