Cannibal Corpse’s new album Torture made a big splash in its’ debut week, while new records by Adrenaline Mob, Soulfly, Epica and Impending Doom also hit the Top 10 of the “Current Hard Music” chart. Those numbers and more after the jump:

3 CANNIBAL CORPSE – TORTURE
Last week: 9,846 (debut)

The death metal titans are still going strong! Amazing for them to enjoy this kind of popularity at this point in their career.

5 ADRENALINE MOB – OMERTA
Last week: 6,616 (debut)

Supergroups sell records.

6 SOULFLY – ENSLAVED
Last week: 6,065 (debut)

Legacy groups sell records.

7 EPICA – REQUIEM FOR THE INDIFFERENT
Last week: 4,868 (debut)

Did you guys catch the bit about how an instrumental version of the last track from this album accidentally ended up on the disc instead of the version with vocals? Kinda hilarious. But it does make it cool for anyone who got this original pressing; potential collectors’ item someday. I guess misprints are going to be a thing of the past when physical media is phased out… weird.

8 IMPENDING DOOM – BAPTIZED IN FILTH
Last week: 4,646 (debut)

Deathcore still sells records.

13 EVERY TIME I DIE – EX LIVES
Last week: 3,176
Cume: 17,463

77% drop in Week 2. Still, a 14k first week… wow.

17 MYCHILDREN MYBRIDE – MYCHILDREN MYBRIDE
Last week: 2,670 (debut)

Generic metalcore still sells records.

28 CORROSION OF CONFORMITY – CORROSION OF CONFORMITY
Last week: 1,429
Cume: 7,115

Name brands sell records, even if the lineup is missing a member most people would define as crucial.

35 VEIL OF MAYA – ECLIPSE
Last week: 1,162
Cume: 10,719

Crosses 10k in 3rd week. Nice job, gents.

55 ELUVEITIE – HELVETIOS
Last week: 731
Cume: 6,274

Folk/pagan still sells records. I guess these guys are the ones who ended up at the top of the heap after all the dust settled, huh?

62 SPAWN OF POSSESSION – INCURSO
Last week: 691 (debut)

Should’ve sold more records.
