AGALLOCH HAVE FINISHED RECORDING A NEW EP!

With the extreme level of fanboyism for Agalloch rampant in the metal community, you’d’ve thunk someone would’ve let us know by now that Agalloch posted a Facebook update on March 30th about new music they’re working on — a whole five days ago!! But nope, that’s how long it took for MetalSucks reader Garrett C. to alert us that Agalloch didn’t just write music, aren’t just recording, but have finished recording a new EP called Faustian Echoes. Meanwhile, Devin Townsend passed gas last night and we got no less than 10 emails about it. Here’s the Agalloch update:

Agalloch have completed the recording of their forthcoming EP entitled “Faustian Echoes”. With acclaimed engineer Billy Anderson at the helm, the band recorded a 20 minute long conceptual and colossal track live onto two-inch tape. The recording took place at Jackpot Studio in Portland, Oregon during March 24th-25th. A release date has yet to be set, but we will keep you all updated through our official Facebook page. This EP will appear on both LP and CD. We have made a photo album of photos taken by Veleda Thorsson of this session.

Obviously this news is worth getting very excitebike about! Hopefully we’ll get to hear this new EP sooner rather than later.
