HERE’S VIDEO OF PHIL ANSELMO AND GEEZER BUTLER JAMMING WITH DUDES FROM SLAYER, MEGADETH, AND ANTHRAX

This past September, Vince and I attended the Metal Masters Clinic here in New York, the highlight of which was Phil Anselmo fronting an all-star rendition of Pantera’s “Fucking Hostile” that included Slayer’s Kerry King, Adrenaline Mob’s Mike Portnoy, and Scott Ian, Frankie Bello, and Charlie Benante from Anthrax.

Well, yesterday there was another Metal Masters Clinic, this one in Los Angeles, and it seems that the highlight this time was Anselmo leading another supergroup through covers of two Slayer songs (“Raining Blood” and “Angel of Death”), four Pantera songs (“A New Level,” “Mouth Of War,” “This Love,” and “Walk”), and a Black Sabbath classic (“Hole in the Sky.”) Other participants in the massive jam included King, Portnoy, Benante, and Bello, plus Dave Lombardo from Slayer (y’know, as opposed to Dave Lombardo from The Alan Parsons Project), Megadeth’s Dave Ellefson and Chris Broderick, and, for the Sabbath song only, one Mr. Geezer Butler.

Here’s video of that Sabbath cover…

…and after the jump, you can watch the entire clinic if you so desire:
