FOR SLEEPING OR JUMPING, FOR BONING OR CONTENDING
Vince sang For Sleeping or Jumping’s praises just a couple of months ago, rightfully describing them as “energetic, frenetic, brutally heavy and technical.” The Dillinger Escape Plan’s Ben Weinman worked on their new their new EP, Dead Languages, which I guess should make it especially easy to point out the obvious fact that this band really wants to be DEP. But the Weinman connection also makes it especially easy to point out that obvious fact that as far as Dillinger Disciples go — and let’s be real, there are a metric fuckton of them in the world right now — For Sleeping or Jumping are actually really good. I don’t know if they’re gonna reinvent mathcore, but they could certainly keep it fresh and alive for awhile.
