GREAT NEWS!

As of September 16, there will be one less mediocre band in the world.

Abigail Williams have announced via their Facebook page that following their upcoming U.S. tour, which begins later this month, they will call it a day. And while I have to admit that I actually really liked the band’s first EP, Legends, when it first came out, it did not age well after about six to eight weeks, and nothing the band has done since has been interesting. Furthermore, they are beyond boring live, and those “North American Black Metal” shirts, are, frankly, cocktarded. And remember that time that someone thought it was a good idea to have them headline a whole tour above Goatwhore? Yeah so clearly that worked out really well for all parties involved.

Of course, it’s possible the band is lying and just fucking with our heads, the way Oceano did. They could continue to make not-at-all-interesting music for years to come. They could also always reunite. But I’m choosing to be an optimist and believe they really are done for good.
