THIS NEW JEFF LOOMIS SONG IS EITHER CALLED “THE LIAR’S CHAIN,” “LIAR’S TRAIN,” OR “LIAR’S STRAIN”

Last month, Jeff Loomis’ touring rhythm guitarist, Joe Nurre (also of Shaded Enmity), let us know that he and and Loomis were entering the studio to record  “some heavier death metal type stuff with some more aggressive vocals;” now it seems they’ve debuted one of those songs during their current MetalSucks-presented tour with The Contortionist, Chimp Spanner, and 7 Horns 7 Eyes. It sounds to me like Loomis is saying the song is called “The Liar’s Chain,” but Bertforce, the reader who sent it in, thinks it’s either called “Liar’s Train” or “Liar’s Strain.” In any case, it sounds killer, and Nurre sure as hell wasn’t lying about it being on the heavier side. Check it out:

No word on when the studio versions of this new material will see the light of day, but Loomis’ most recent release, the excellent Plains of Oblivion, is out now on Century. You can get dates for the aforementioned The Contortionist/Loomis/Chimp Spanner/7 Horns 7 Eyes tour here. And read a very special edition of “Rigged” written by Mr. Loomis himself right here.
