GO “DOWN” ON ALL THAT REMAINS

If you love autotune and/or wish it were still 2004, well, you’re in luck! You can listen to a new All That Remains song called “Down Through the Ages” below. It sounds just like every other song by All That Remains, Killswitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, Trivium, Atreyu, Bleeding Through, The Autumn Offering, Sanctity, If Hope Dies, A Dozen Furies, Bleed the Sky, Haste the Day, and Tickle the Taint song: screamed verse, computer clean vocals chorus, repeat, Maiden solo, repeat, out. There’s no  breakdown but I think breakdowns may turn out to be this generation’s guitar solo — the thing that goes out of fashion and then comes back. Like, in five years, there will be a screening of a documentary about Shadows Fall, and people will applaud during the part where Matt Bachand stands up for breakdowns.

So, yeah. “Down Through the Ages.” Because sometimes you’re hungry and nothing is open but McDonald’s.

All That Remains’ new album, A War You Can Not Win, should be out in September.
