THE “MADNESS” OF A LIFE ONCE LOST

A Life Once Lost are now streaming their new single, “Madness is God,” over on their Facebook page in exchange for a “like.” It’s totally worth the public declaration of love, if you ask me; this song represents the first new studio recording we’ve heard from the band in nearly five years, and it was worth the wait. The track doesn’t sound quite like anything else ALOL have ever done before — check out those fuzzy guitars, brah! — but it retains enough ALOL touchstones to not sound completely alien. In other words, this is artistic development in the best possible sense.

Vince likes it, too! I know because he just dispatched a MetalSucks Mansion Monkey to the Rosenberg Wing with a note that read, “I like it!” So there ya go. Two out of two MetalSucks editors agree that this song rocks. So if for some reason you usually hate one of us, rest assured that the other also gives it his seal of approval.
