KRIMH AVAILABLE FOR WHITE LION REUNIONWell, this blows: drummer Kerim “Krimh” Lechner has parted ways with Decapitated. Krimh is an incredible drummer, and was, at least in my not-so-humble opinion, a big part of the reason why both last year’s Carnival is Forever and the subsequent tours behind that album were so powerful; the dude obviously had some huge shoes to fill, seeing as he was stepping in for the late, great Vitek, but he more than filled those shoes — he made it so that the next next guy is gonna have some big ol’ clown shoes of his own to step into.

Here’s the statement from Krimh announcing his departure from the band:

“I sadly have to inform you about some major change that happened in the last months. I am no longer a member of Decapitated! Too many personal differences and other difficulties made me decide like this.

“I appreciate the good times we had together and what we could achieve in more than 2 and a half years. Even if our ways are dividing, I wish the band to keep going. However, it’s time for me to move on. I don’t know what will be next but I would like to stay in this business.

“I love to write and play music for you guys. This is my life and this is what I want to continue.”

So, like I said, that blows. At least he’s gonna keep making music, though.

Meanwhile, The PRP is reporting that Pawel Jaroszewicz, formerly of Vader, may be taking Krimh’s place in Decapitated. Jaroszewicz is obviously no slouch behind the kit, so fingers crossed that the rumor is true.

Here’s video of Jaroszewicz playing with Vader in October of 2010, courtesy of Sick Drummer:
