AN “EXPLOSIA” OF EMOTIONS IN GOJIRA’S NEW LYRIC VIDEO

Gojira did something last week and we missed it. Whoops! We promise this will never happen again.

It’s a brand new lyric video for L’Enfant Sauvage opening track “Explosia.” Visually, there isn’t much going on — it’s just a photograph taken by Mario Duplantier as a backdrop for the lyrics. But Joe Duplantier is one of the few metal vocalists whose lyrics I’m always interested in reading, so I watched attentively as the song played through. Joe’s chosen subject matter is usually pretty straight-forward, but I’m really not sure what this song is about; some repressed individual, perhaps a politician or public figure?
