Nile Announce Two-Set U.S. Tour for Spring 2013

Nile 2012

Nile are the very embodiment of death metal. As hard as it is to believe, I’d never seen them live before they toured with The Black Dahlia Murder, Skeletonwitch and Hour of Penance this past spring… and uhhnnnnnn, SO GOOD! I’ll never be able to listen to this band without thinking of the time I rode a camel at the Pyramids of Giza whilst listening to Nile. “Epic” does not begin to describe.

So, Nile just announced a U.S. tour for early 2013 — their first headlining run since releasing At the Gate of Sethu this year — and it’s gonna be a doozy. The band will be playing TWO full sets consisting of songs from their entire 20-year career. They’ll have three local bands opening the show in each market, meaning you can call the venu day-of to get set times and arrive to the show right before Nile play (unless of course your friend is in one of the opening bands, in which case 1) you don’t wanna be a dick even though his band sucks, and 2) he’ll force you to buy an advance ticket so his band can pay the promoter to play).
