The New Queens of the Stone Age Album Will Have a Guest Appearance from Nick Oliveri!

Well well well! This is terrific news: just a few weeks ago I was advocating for the return of Nick Oliveri to Queens of the Stone Age, and now I’m getting my wish, kinda. From the Facebook page of one of Oliveri’s other projects, Mondo Generator:

Even if I’d prefer to have Oliveri involved in a greater capacity, beggars can’t be choosers, and I will happily take what I can get. Especially if it sounds anything like this:

Combine this with the recently announced participation of Dave Grohl and Trent Reznor, and I’d say this QOTSA release is shaping up to be pretty goddamn exciting, wouldn’t you?

Oh yeah. I guess I need to address Oliveri re-joining Kyuss Lives!, too. Uh, ok. I hope it makes Nick happy! Call me when Josh Homme is back in the band. I want these two dudes TOGETHER, not one at a time!
