Phish Cover Black Sabbath’s “Iron Man”

I honestly don’t really have anything against Phish’s music, but holy shit, are their fans ever annoying. Dead Heads, Phish fanatics, and Dave Matthews accolytes are like the Axis of Evil of music fans. It’s as though they go out of their way to be the human equivalents of a wedgie you can’t pick because you’re someplace fancy, like a funeral or a Bed, Bath and Beyond.

But like I said, what I’ve heard of the band’s music hasn’t been unbearable or even memorably bad. So I will give props to their vocalist/guitarist, Ginger Jerry Garcia, for doing a spot-on Ozzy impersonation during the group’s performance of Black Sabbath’s “Iron Man” at their New Year’s Eve show in NYC. Really, there’s no reason to hate this, and I was looking pretty damn hard.

I would still kick a Phish fan in the shin if given the chance, though. Stupid Phish fan.

Watch video below. The song starts at the 2:05 mark.
