Steven Adler and John 5’s “Good to be Bad” is Not Good

Against my better judgment, I sat down this morning to watch the lyric video for “Good to be Bad,” the new single from Adler, which, duh, is Steven Adler’s new band. I did this because a) I’m always going to be at least somewhat curious what the original members of Guns N’ Roses are up to, and b) John 5 guests on the track, and I’m always going to be at least somewhat curious what John 5 is up to.

But needless to say, the song laps up llama vag and asks for more. It wouldn’t be very good even if the vocals and lyrics weren’t both fucktarded, which they are.

Still, I’m glad I watched it, if only for this reason: about thirty seconds in, vocalist Jacob Bunton sings the lyric “I know I might be wrong/But just don’t fucking care,” and even though the word “fucking” isn’t bleeped out or muted or whatever, the word “fucking” appears as “f*ing” on the screen. In other words, whomever made this thing thought it was okay for people to hear the word “fucking” but not read the word “fucking,” and then all the various people who had to approve the video prior to its release (including, presumably, Steven Adler himself) agreed with that assessment.

Fucking morons.

Interestingly enough, Slayer did something similar on their online merch store last year. The mind boggles. Truly.
